Promptwatch vs Qwairy (2026): flat plan limits or a credit meter?
Promptwatch and Qwairy compared on pricing, credits, engines, sampling method, crawler analytics, attribution, and content. Two full-stack GEO platforms with very different billing models.
Quick verdict
On a feature list, Qwairy and Promptwatch look alike. Both track prompts across ten or more engines, analyze citations, offer an action layer, connect to MCP, and list crawler analytics. The differences show up in two places: how you pay and where the important features sit. Qwairy runs on credits, and new analyses pause when the balance hits zero; crawler analytics start on its €449 Business plan. Promptwatch sells fixed response limits per plan, and Agent Analytics starts on Professional at $245.
Qwairy's free credits are a fine way to poke at a long engine list. For a program you'll run every week for a year, Promptwatch is the one we'd pick.

Where Qwairy wins
The free start is generous. Qwairy offers free credits with no card, plus an audit on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot that doesn't need an account. Promptwatch's free Explore tier is limited to ChatGPT.
The engine list on the entry plan is broad. Starter at €79 lists ten engines, where some rivals at that price stop at three. MCP comes on Starter, and annual billing knocks roughly two months off.
Language and country reach is wide on paper: 240+ countries and 45+ content languages. Connectors for Search Console, Bing Webmaster, GA4, Slack, and Looker Studio are listed, and unused credits roll over on renewal. Our Qwairy review covers the full module list (Cockpit, Monitor, Act, Analyze, Optimize, Measure).
Where Qwairy gets awkward
The credit meter shapes everything. One monitoring query costs one credit per model. Track 100 prompts across ten engines once a day and you spend 1,000 credits a day against Starter's 1,300 a month. A content brief costs 50. When credits hit zero, new analyses pause until you buy more. That turns monitoring cadence into a budget decision, and it means the 100-prompt allowance is only meaningful at a much lower frequency or on fewer engines.
Sampling is mixed. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok are listed as UI plus API. Copilot, AI Overviews, and AI Mode are UI. Claude, Mistral, and DeepSeek are API samples. If you care about what a logged-in user actually sees in Claude, that matters.
The parts that explain movement sit higher up. Crawler analytics, Looker Studio, and alerts start at Business, €449 a month. The REST API starts at Growth. Fact Check is still in beta. And small things erode trust: the homepage and pricing FAQ disagree on the free credit count (120 versus 100). The "2,000+ brands" figure is a homepage claim we haven't verified.
Where Promptwatch wins
Predictable usage. Promptwatch states limits up front in responses: 6,000 on Essential, 18,000 on Professional, 42,000 on Business. AEO articles and Agent Credits are listed as separate allowances from responses, so planning a month of tracking is a single calculation.
Crawler logs, earlier and deeper. Agent Analytics starts on Professional at $245 with 25M crawler logs, and every agency plan includes it. It reads logs from Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or a custom HTTP source, shows which pages ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and the Meta AI crawler fetched, and maps the crawl-to-citation path with error tracking. That last part is the useful bit: it tells you whether a page that never gets cited was ever read.
Conversions from the first paid plan. Visitor analytics on Essential (200K visitor events) ties AI-referred sessions to conversions through a lightweight script or GTM template. Qwairy lists referrer and AI-revenue modules too, but our listing places them, along with crawler analytics, on the €449 Business tier.
Citation depth and prompt intelligence. Citation analytics cover page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite mentions, with trends over time. Prompts carry search volumes, difficulty scores, and query fan-outs, so you can pick which questions deserve responses before spending them.
Publishing. Content Agents draft from content gap analysis and publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress through a review inbox. Professional includes 5 AEO articles; Business adds the automated Content Agent. Qwairy's Content Studio produces briefs, each costing 50 credits.
Pricing compared
The two vendors bill in different currencies. Promptwatch also offers EUR prices, but we only quote USD here because those are the figures on our fact sheet.
At entry level, Qwairy Starter (€79) gives more prompts (100 against 50) and a broader engine list than most trackers at that price, but 1,300 credits cap how often you can check them. Promptwatch Essential ($95) gives 50 prompts across every engine with 6,000 responses, plus visitor analytics.
In the middle, Qwairy Growth (€199) adds workspaces and the REST API. Promptwatch Professional ($245) adds crawler logs, which Qwairy holds back until Business.
At the top of self-serve, Qwairy Business (€449) finally includes crawler analytics, Looker, and alerts with 800 prompts. Promptwatch Business ($579) has 350 prompts, 100M crawler logs, 10M visitor events, the automated Content Agent, Ads Radar, Shopping Insights, and state and city tracking.
Agencies have a separate path at Promptwatch: Kick-off at $199, Growth at $399, and Scale at $799 a month, each with unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats.
Who should pick which
Pick Qwairy if you want a free look at a long engine list, you work across many languages, and you're willing to manage a credit balance closely.
Pick Promptwatch if you're building a program that runs every week, you need crawler logs without jumping to a €449 tier, and you want conversions and CMS publishing tied to the same data. That's most teams evaluating this pair. See the full ranking and Qwairy alternatives for others.
